kinnickinnic river trout

Looking to fish the kinnickinnic river near river falls wisconsin. i know most people fly fish it but i have no experience fly fishing. any tips would be appreciated.

If you are using spinning gear you can’t go wrong with small Husky Jerks, Vibrax spinners, Rooster Tails, or tiny K.O. Wobblers. Good Luck!

trout are on the small side 10-12in average most spots but there is a ton of them
catch more fish eary in the morning but the bigger ones bite at night
keep on the move there is trout almost every where in the river once your out of town and if u stay in a spot for a while all u will catch is suckers

thanx for the info. do you know if i should fish the upper river obove river falls or try the lower river by the state park? a friend of mine got skunked fishing in the state park with small mepps spinners and worms.

I’d fish above RF. The lower river is too easy to fish and gets a lot of pressure.
