    Went trout fishing for the first time on Memorial Day, today was my 6th time out. I have caught plenty of browns, I have caught ZERO brookies, and only moved a couple. And today I got this.

    Congratulations. Decent sized tiger. Got any more photos? I have been trout fishing hard for 15 years and NO tiger for me yet!

    Thanks guys. I do have a couple more pics but the ones I have already posted were the ones that turned out the best. It was kind of a Chinese fire drill being alone and trying to get some pics and get the fish back in a reasonable amount of time. Little disappointed with the results I got but with a disposable what can you expect. Guess I’ll have to save my pennies for one of those fancy waterproof digicams. Here’s my other beginners luck, my PB so far 17 on the nuts without a pinch.

    Forgive my ignorance, but I know nothing about trout.

    What kind of trout is that and why’s it a special fish?

    I’ve done a little trout fishing, but it’s funny how we get addicted to different things for different reasons… I got hooked on catfishing, myself, and I feel the same way about it.

    This is a rare tiger trout. Tiger trout is a result of a female brown trout x male brook trout. Fishing water that has both brook trout and brown trout, your odds of catching one are 1:100,000 or so I am told.
