Last night I looked at my log books for the last *8* years.
I went back until I found the year I discovered stream born tigers
    in my home water.

I tried to see if the streams had any similarities.

    All the streams were small.
All the streams had small pebbles in area.
All streams that I caught a tiger in had a spring within 20 yards of the area I caught a tiger.
6 of the tigers were right where the spring emptied in to the small stream.

i think well be seeing more and more tigers in the future. at least here in minnesota. im sure wis. isnt much different but having never fished it i cant say.

it seems to me that here in mn. since the 07 floods streams are flowing faster and cooler than they were before the flood. in 2008 i caught a brookie in a stream that dosnt hold brookies. it was also caught right where a spring runs into the stream. ive walked the spring for a short distance in the past but never saw any fish. that dosnt mean they werent in there though.

in 2009 i caught a bunch of brookies the same morning in a stream that isnt know for holding them. there are a few feeder streams known for brookies but this was quite a distance from any of them. again they prob washed out in a flood and again there were a few springs within a relatively short distance of where i was catching them. this goes to show that the quality of our streams is improving and its only a mater of time before a male brookie fertilizes a female browns eggs.

Very interesting specimen, did u catch that one in the photo?
I have never seen until now, only heard about them.
I also caught many brookies the last two years in a stream not known for having many or none at all.
Wonder were they all came from, especially after spring floods always come every year?

I did a little more reading of my logs. Tigers are not choosy. Have seen them caught on almost anything. Looked for time of year and no pattern. they were caught in shallow holes 8 inches up to 30 inches depth. smallest one was about 5 inches. Biggest was about 15 inches.
