After having a poor month of November for brown trout fishing the few times I was able to get out I was able to get out this morning with a few friends and catch some nice fish. It was a little cold to start off the morning but then warmed to about 33 degrees which wasn’t to bad since there was little wind. We fished a river that I had never fished before and we ended up having a good morning. We landed about a dozen browns and one small coho. A few smaller fish but most were nice fat bigger fish. If was fun to get some nice fish on the float rod again and fish some new water!

Andy… that’s an awesome photo. I need to get my brother over there to experience those tribs. We grew up catching 14″ – 17″ browns with the occasional 20″ fish thinking we were on something special. I think his eyes would bug out of his head if he caught one trout that size.

Quite amazing photos guys! Those are the biggest browns I have seen in a while. I seriously need to focus on big lake tributaries!

Congratulations! Never seen a brown with such a humpback like the one on the left. Real fatty.

May I ask what you catch them on? Line and pole info too?

where were you fishing? i thought the season closed at the end of september for inland rivers, in october for some lake superior tributaries. where in wi are you able to river fish year round without violating the dnr regulations?
