Heading over this fall to try for kings in the river, wondering what type of gear and tackle to have along? A friend recommended #13 jointed firetigers. Mono or PowerPro?
Any help would be appreciated!

Keep posted on IDO as the fall gets closer…I use an Avid AVS70MHF with either 10# PP braid or 12# Cortland Endurance with a Pfleuger 9030XT. The lure type/color depends of the water depth and clarity. RattleTraps have been a great producer for me over the years…(Blue/Silver). But the std bass trebles need to be replaced with X-strongs. A 20lb King will crush those std trebles.
