Over the last few weeks the trout action has really been going into high gear.
On a recent outing I was honored by a request from a long time fishing buddy to help guide a foreign-exchange student on his first ever trout trek.
It was a little slow at first, but we began getting good action when we started using the Electric Blue Super Bow spinners.
It is always a special moment when a youngster lands his first trout.
The highlight was a shore lunch of freshly caught trout fillets fried in butter and some of Dave’s special fixens.
The young man said that he had never wade-fished before, and water below 45 degrees was rare where he came from, and though he shivered a bit now and then, we didn’t leave the stream until well after dark.
I think that we hooked more than the fish.
