Len- – Are the people in the know for the dam’s or do they slowly knock them down. If the water backs up and cause no problems do they just let nature take its course .

I reported all of these beaver dam to WDNR. These are my brook trout streams and dams are breeding grounds for Gill Lice.

Also they can cause the water to stagnate and warm which stresses the fish. Beaver dams are a natural feature though so its hard to say they are all bad. I think its safe to say that trout fisherman should thank their local beaver trapper

Beavers, if they dont let you go fishing for the weekend with the boys, then their building dams to ruin the fishery

It’s a catch 22 some of my best brook trout fishing ever has been through stretches that the beavers have backed up.
