One on left was caught in 2011 and was 24 inches

One on the right caught in 2013 and was 27 inches.

Was always wondering if it was the same fish.

Side by side tells me NO.

Based on the fingers up in the gills and the expected mortality, I would say no, they are different fish.

    Seriously!

Knowing Len, and having fished with him in my boat, I truly doubt that he’s killed many trout by the method you suggest above.

Len – all a guy can really do is wonder and hope that it is the same fish. Nice catch either way!

Trout are not made of glass.
I have caught the same trout 7 times.
The WDNR drops stockers off bridges.
This fragile like glass thing is nonsensical.

the 27er swims no more because my bud Dereck put it on the wall on a sweet piece of driftwood.

nice fish and I too agree they are different fish! both very nice fish by the way! good for him putting that fish on the wall! well within his right and well justified to do so!

heck I woulda put both of them on the grill!!
