Going to be making my spring fly order soon.

I would like to target some big fish this year. What are your favorite flies/streamers for big trout? I’ve used woolly buggers a lot and they are effective but I was thinking of something a little more fishy. Anyone use a clouser minnow ever? Thanks for the feedback!

I have some luck with hornberg and muddler minnows.

I’ve heard of guys using pike sized muddlers. You should also consider mouse patterns. I have my eye on an Alaskan mouse pattern called “Mr. Hankey” that I want to try this year.

Mouse patterns, frog patterns, even something resembling nightcrawlers or crawfish. I dont do a lot of fly fishing but I have caught several 20″+ browns on huge panther martins or big x raps that havw coughed up frog chunks and I’ve even had one cough up what I believe was a baby duck! Big trout are super opportunistic at least in my limited experience with them.
