Fished the spring creeks in Southwest Wisconsin for the first time this year on Sunday, the second day of the early catch-and-release season. It was a beautiful day to be out fishing. Looked for deeper, slow-moving areas and used small black or brown-colored marabou jigs and small gold and silver Panther Martin spinners. Ended up with 6 browns between 10 and 13 inches and 3 beautiful rainbows between 20 and 23 inches. It was just a wonderful day that made us appreciate these beautiful places that God has blessed us with. Good luck to everyone this year!
