First one of the season!

    Got out to a metro area stream last night on the way home with the intention of snagging my first 2012 trout, and it was a success! Was only out for a few minutes and caught a nice Rainbow who went back in the drink until this weekend. Definitely great being streamside again though!

    That was my biggest for the day at 14″. The picture did not do justice for the bright red fins he had. It was a pretty fish.

    Here is another from last Wednesday night before I left for DL. This is my biggest brown for the year.
