Salmon fishing on Lake Oahe

I am thinking about heading out to the Gettysburg area to fish for some salmon. I have no downriggers but have been told you can catch them casting. What would you guys suggest casting?

Can’t help with the specific body of water, but here in Wisconsin I regularly cast for salmon on Lake Superior near the river mouths since I dont own a boat. I like to throw Kastmaster spoons and Little Cleos. Did the same out in the pacific northwest so I would assume it is a fairly universal casting presentation. I go through different colors but if I had to pick one color, red has been my go to with silver/chrome a close second.
