Sad news in the Chippewa Falls area today

    Sorry for your loss and the loss of the familys. When I lived in Eau Claire, Glen Loch was one of my favorite first ice spots. Not sure what happened but I fished an area that was 4′ deep max and next to shore. That being said open water flowed through the channel maybe 100 yards from that area….very sad.

    Thank you, certainly not the news I was expecting to hear today. Glen Loch is a local favorite early ice, but with that channel I tend to just fish it right next to shore or avoid it entirely.
