Lets be honest guys..there are like 20 of you that post/chat regularly. And many in that group are always attacking other guys (new) for whatever reason. This site feels more like a club that no one else is invited to rather than a outdoors site.

Pretty sure the site would be better off getting rid of ya’ll than these guys. You are costing IDO money with these personal attacks and making people afraid to post as they wish. Must be something in the IDO rules about that?

Since you are lumping me into the grumpy old guard group i’ll respond. I really don’t know that we have run any new guys off. Anybody that adds to the group has been pretty well received from my perspective. Although the guys that A) come here to start trouble or B) Come here for self promotion don’t seem to last.

If we cost James money we would get ran off. In fact it wouldn’t take much more then a phone call for me. But the problem stems from the guys who are here to pat themselves on the back. Take this thread for instance. I don’t know the guy and I haven’t watched his video. Didn’t watch his past ones either. Videos aren’t my thing. When people are pushing for the “click” thing it just turns me off. Regardless of what has been said this video is about the clicks. If not, on his next video he can just put in a link to his site on You Tube rather then embed the video here. But then we all know that won’t generate the clicks he is after.

I don’t really care about the video guys (except you are so easy to rile up) like I said I don’t watch them. I will admit to going to You Tube on occasion looking for a specific topic.

Best of luck, the thread has garnered many more views then it deserved so it’s mission accomplished I guess.

Andy I truthfully can say that people like Bill Dance, Roland Martin, Jimmy Houston, Hank Parker, Shaw Grigsby, Al and Ron Lindner as well as Babe Winkelman and many more were all an influential part of my Life Long obsession with the endless chase for the next bite! They also gave me hope for one thing and that was to be able to share that same passion with the masses! I am now lucky enough to do that with the world! Oh but I will say this! No-one has a blooper reel quite like Bill

I will add a few cents worth of opinion. If the guys that post videos were on the forums posting and bs’ing more often, their videos might be received more openly. I think the harshness stems from the guys that never post much of anything accept their video. Like, share, subscribe right? If Dutchboy were to post a video, I’m sure we’d all click on it….. Right?

Dave, I’ve had many sleepless weeks chasing eyes and smallie. Enjoy quality panties, but having tanks about rip a rod out of my hand is what my passion is. Nothing like the solitude, peace, and 30 to 50 loons sounding off while a 6# smallie is rippin out drag.

I feel the same way. Just look, the people who come with questions. They don’t get ran off. They may get their question answered and don’t keep posting but I am sure they still visit. The people who are trying to use this site for self-promotion and selling stuff do.

Dave I was on your side because you have added to the form other than your videos. But you lost me when I posted a question on new ice lures for 2018/2019 and you slipped in a video of you reviewing old JB lures.

What about Trumar and his “ANNOUNCEMENT”? What about those selling their custom fishing rods or lures? Or those trying to sell boat insurance? What about those pimping their own guide service? They’re all trying to make money. Where do you draw the line?

Curious, there is a track record of you tube bashing and many op’s know there is but act surprised there is backlash when posting a you tube video.
