Sacrificing SLEEP to Fish?

I dont know when the next time Ill stay up for 48hrs fishing and filming but I will say this! It will probably be on a really good Big Bluegill Bite! #BigBluegillAddiction #48hrsFishingChallenge #ImBEAT

Who here likes fishing for Big Bluegills as much as I do? I want to hear some Monster Gill Storie’s!

Portage Canada Trip had a 4 day dry spell going myself. After so many fried taters, fish, and beans the colon could only handle so much. Video would’ve been epic. Even the bears up there bowed in respect.

Apparently no one in this thread is a passionate sportsman and or has a career doing what they love… this is one of the things I do for a living… boys that are apparently full of it it’s not about “an attention seeking video” it’s about trying to put together a fishing channel without “bigwig” money backing you it’s crazy how rude and unprofessional people are getting these days… on a side note you all should probably see a doctor if you can go more then a day without pooping

Actually you sre trying to build your brand off the backs of the people who own and run this site. They built it and you just want to free load your way up the food ladder.

We aren’t stupid or a bunch of hicks. You are known for one thing only…… posting videos to get clicks. Other than that you have no intention of adding anything here.

Actually if you look back at his activity he was posting and contributing long before he started posting these videos. And if you bothered to look he is one who actually contributes. I have no clue why it has come down to a “select few” to police the YouTube posters but I don’t see it as part of their responsibility. If James and the actual staff don’t mind if YouTube videos are posted then why does anybody else care? And before you jump on me, I don’t like the zero contribution Pump and Dump video posters either, but if the staff aren’t doing anything about it you don’t need to either.

There seem to be multiple sets of unwritten rules for who’s allowed to post what without being ridiculed here. Dave is well within the forum rules as I read them. Whereas the barrage of comments that demean and harass the OP are not:

Members posting rude, inflammatory, hostile, consistently negative or demeaning posts or content are subject to suspension, ban or deletion of the respective member account.

What is it that makes some members here think they’re IDO deputies that need to enforce these unwritten rules? Just let the mods do their jobs and go about your business. Ignore the topic if you think it’s a cash grab or whatever.

And what exactly is that makes it OK for select people to promote their new (or old) business ventures, whether it’s a tackle company or a guide service or construction company? The OP Dave has been posting on IDO for 4 years, and didn’t start posting videos until last year. It’s not like he just showed up with post #1 saying “CHECK OUT MY YOUTUBE CHANNEL!”

The irony of this is that every time throws another log (pun intended) on this fire, it pushes the topic to the top, and he gets more potential views on his channel.

Ah, the gatekeepers of IDO. I’ll say what I said last week after someone else got jumped all over….these forums include 13 pages of people repeating the same arguments for or against guns and countless back-and-forth arguments of Vikings/Packers “you suck” “no you suck!” And like I said last week, I am completely fine with all of the above. Whenever I go out camping/fishing for a weekend + I always get less sleep then I normally do. One has to take full advantage of their time by the water.
I will hold it all weekend depending on what the bathrooms look like. But it does make me feel bad for the toilet I punish later.

For some reason I keep coming back to see where this ones going.

So big gills get my attention as I’ve never got them myself. What is the way to best catch them this time of year? Wing dams? Trolling crawler rigs on the bottom or what? I would really like to target them but have had no luck doing so.

I didn’t watch the videos but I haven’t complained about them either. I’ve perhaps gotten more entertainment from the comments.

My only judgement on this thread is how someone can let themselves go 4-5 days without making a “deposit”. Without turbo-lax, I find a good north woods chili and some good beer in the evening will work wonders the next morning.

Hoyt BIG winter gills are my Kryptonite as I tend to drill my self stupid looking for them lol Also thanks to all who have my back it is appreciated!

For all that look at life in a negative way you are going to only see it that way… I love teaching people who would otherwise not go fishing a new way to get out and do what we all love! Its really weird to see so many people these days instantly hate on something they don’t understand and by any means if they could do it would… I can leave all that hate on something so simple with this! DO WHAT YOU LOVE… TRY IT SOME TIME… You’ll be surprised at how many people HATE what you LOVE.

I’m not so sure if people hate what you love.
It’s most likely they get tired of people pushing their YouTube videos.
I do agree this sight is full of crusty ornery monkeybutts.

There are 1.8 BILLION Logged in monthly users. there are supposed to be almost that same amount not logged in… 2018 stat

90 Countries use it.

46,000 years worth of content watched annually….

There are other numbers that help make it a little bit more understandable for others as to why some of us go FULL Time on youtube.

Simply put TV is becoming OBSOLETE why do you think IDO has moved all of their stuff to a Youtube Channel

Nhamm I’m Not hiding anything I don’t need to lie to anyone I do this as a form of entertainment and education of the Outdoors type… When you take someone with you fishing you do it to share the experience right? Well I get to share it with everyone who wants to join in on the journey! As you state it you make it sound like anyone who does any form of fishing entertainment is doing it with a malicious intent… Think about what you are saying and try not to be so grumpy lol I feel like a lot of people on this thread need to go out fishing more often
