    Score one for the internet! I actually discovered pages upon pages of people insulting each other in fights over the merits of Amsoil on iboats, the hull truth, etc. I have my reservations on that stuff but certainly not worth fighting over.

    In all honesty I don’t think it matters what oil you use as long as you use a transom saver when you tow your boat… coffee

    I’ve heard transom savers store residual water and thus, AIS. Ban them!

    Make no bones about it, alcohol is water based

    I’m a degreed chemist also and Ralph is completely correct when he states that alcohol IS NOT water based. Water and ethanol will mix, but they are two completely different compounds.
