So I have since I have started working at Thorne Bros I give guys like Struif, Rolek and Olee crap about being “fairy wand wavers.” 
Anybody who pays $54 bucks for a tackle box the size of a Rose Creek box is nuts!
So ended up having Rolek and struif set me up with a reel, rod some flies and sent me on the way. Since I tie my own jigs I figured tying poppers and streamers couldn’t be too terribly hard. And they weren’t. I think I’ve tied about 15 of each. Some look good, some have got fish some look butt [censored] ugly.
Ive seen the move “A River Runs Through It” and will always remember Tom Skerrits scene with the boys in the field ten and two ten and two.
I am not the prettiest at casting. I have only hooked myself once. Ask Charles.
Last few times out I always wanted to get a few pictures of the smallies I have been catching. Them river fish are fun on “Gear” but they really test the fly rod! Especially when they have had enough head shaking and going airborne and turn and run downstream.
Simply a gas if anyone ever wanted to get into fly fishing. DO IT! Its not as complicated and hard as it looks! Can not wait to learn and bug the fly boys more as I progress!
