Was able to get the kids out on Linwood this afternoon. Hadnt been on this lake in about 10 years. Travel on the lake was very decent.

First spot we stopped was straight out from the landing in about 17′. Drilled a number of holes with no fish. Just as we where packing up the holes rite next tot eh truck filled with fish and the kids managed to catch a few small crappies.

Next we heading over the the bar on the east side of the lake and set up in about 7 to 8′ of water. After checking a number of holes here there was only one small perch to show for it.

Third stop was back to a little deeper water in about 14′. At this stop we did find a fairly active school of sunfish. Still not much for size but it was active enough to keep the kids entertained until dark.

Baits for today where zebra gil pils, and glow diamond jigs with wax worms or berkley gulp on them. I think the gulp worked a little better the the waxes.

Lots of people out today. How was the fishing for the rest of you?

Pretty nice morning out on Linwood this morning. Mild temps with no wind made for some easy fishing. Finding fish was a little tricky today. Ended up checking 5 different areas before getting on top of a active school of sunnies and crappies. Found fish straight out from the landing in 17 to 20′ of water in between the 2 groups of houses out there. Just had to punch a few holes to locate them.

Wax worms where the ticket today. Better yet was half a wax worm or any little piece of it on the hook. Used a bigger Diamond jig to get this down the hole quickly. Last weekend the Burkley Gulp worked well but these fish wanted nothing to do with it today.

It was goo to listen to the pregame show and 1st half of the game on the ice this morning. Guess I wasnt the only one out there doing this as you could hear the cheering going on every time a TD was scored.

Looks like we will be back out monday afternoon. Good luck to the rest of you.

Thanks for the update Mike. If things slow down here now that Hunting is over, I might have to join you for a day on the ice here!
