I’ve fished it one time this past week and the water lower has dropped pretty good. Fish are slow as we had tried for cats. Fished an area with about 8-10 other guys and no one had anything to show that night. Had hits but I bet it was them turtles. Stink to cutbait could not produce. A few other guys could not find the eyes either. Couple of small smallmouths for kix.
Cool, thanks for responding. Whats the average depth down there? How far north and south do you guys usually go on the river from the fairgrounds launch?
I will be going out for smallies.
i was there 2 weeks ago and I usually fish the no wake zone all he way back down just drifting down slowly and running the trolling motor to get to the sides of the river that I wanted, he only boated 5 fish in 4 hours. it was really slow.
