We’re heading for another thrilling Mieneke Muffler Bowl and you all know it.

Haha. Can’t deny it. If there’s a bowl in the future, its gonna be one of those no name ones that very few people care about. Meineke, Pinstripe, Music City, Chick Filet, etc.

And they’ll probably win it, and Fleck will use it as ammo to secure another massive contract extension.

Watch your tongue calling anything Chick Fil A something people don’t care about. wink

Another nice win for the Gophers, if we finish out 2-1 down the stretch here that would be a solid season.

The Gophers should have no problem smash the Badgers.

Yeah, Badgers looked terrible against Iowa. So that will be a fun Thanksgiving weekend game. And that Wisconsin team hung about a half-hundred on this Rutgers squad earlier this year…

Maybe the bowl prospects are looking up, who knows – like I said, I’d be happy to be wrong…

How poorly my very last post aged. I now reclaim my original post. Welcome to the Meineke Muffler Bowl. I hate being right.

Just when you thought the Gophers could maybe be ranked. Some things never change.

Outside of the top 4 teams in the conference the rest is an absolute crapshoot. Oregon, OSU, Indiana, and PSU are all good teams. The rest can beat each other any weekend.

    Except Purdue. Purdue sucks.

The Badgers are bad (especially with their backup QB at the helm) yet still beat Rutgers by 35.

Just when you think we will endure yet another offseason of “Which SEC team will be courting PJ because he went over .500 with a bad schedule?”…he goes and loses to Rutgers smash

The 4th ranked visiting Nittany Lions are favored by 14 points against the Gophers on Saturday afternoon in Minneapolis.

Penn State is 9-1 overall, with their lone loss on the season coming to #2 ranked Ohio State.

There was one game they should have one and one they could have won and lost both. The second one they got hosed on that penalty call on onside kick.

The Gophers stand at 6-4 so they are already bowl eligible. They’re just trying to further bolster their chances at the Meineke Car Care Bowl instead of the Pinstripe Bowl. They probably should have beat Rutgers but they kind of got a dose of reality in that one.

Should they beat the Nittany Lions, Penn State will likely fall out of the top 12 which dictates the new format for the college football playoff.

Another key game is unbeaten Indiana who is 10-0 for the first time in school hisotry, at Ohio State. The Hoosiers have not really played anyone legit yet this season. We will find out if they are a pretender or a contender when they play the Buckeyes.

Indiana seemingly came out of nowhere. Those fans have no idea what its like to win. We have had our struggles for sure but nothing like that fanbase. Good for them! Hopefully they get it done this weekend.

You are correct, but they have absolutely destroyed pretty much everyone, including UCLA/Nebraska/Mich State/Washington, and handled Michigan for 3 quarters before Michigan tightened it up at the end. If I were a betting man, I’d be licking my chops on the odds/spread against a pretty overrated Ohio State team. OSU lost to Oregon, and came close to losing to Nebraska and Penn State. Cignetti is a great coach! And Ryan Day is not imo.

I love seeing Indiana winning and how Cignetti is leading them! I wouldnt necessarily say Day is not a good Coach with how well they have been. I also hate Ohio State!

Indiana bought a football team. Cignetti hired 31 transfer players for this year.

I was going to mention that. I think 20 of their 22 starters are transfers. With about 8 of them directly from the coach’s last team (James Madison I think?) I heard them talking about this on KFAN the other day.

Free agents for college sports is an accurate term. Its way too loose.

If you think Indiana has that kind of money, I have some ocean front property for you in Arizona. Cignetti brought a bunch of his recruits from JMU (a FBS team), and a bunch of other FBS, D2/D3 guys, and players in the portal after not having spots elsewhere. Like every other team in college football does. Indiana can’t even buy a basketball team.

BW you don’t think those transfer are getting paid? I’m guessing the perks and $$$$ are better at Indiana than JM or any D2/3 school.

Some guys might be getting some money but its nothing compared to other schools. You think all of a sudden they decided to dump a bunch of money into the football team in Indiana? Hell no! All the money goes to the basketball team. This is a case of good coaching and bringing in his players.
