I have been on the Athan band wagon since the start, but he got totally out classed today. We had a ton of chances and didnt capitalize on anything, tough game to watch for a gopher fan.

I know it’s only been 3 games, hopefully Athan gets some momentum and grows. I guess I expected a little more, can’t really say he’s looked good for any stretch these first 3 games. Mechanics seem just a little off/ behind for the level he’s at.

    I believe northwestern

That’s correct. And then Louisiana. Should be two wins, they will be favored in both.

After that the schedule gets ugly. Michigan, Iowa, Michigan State, and Illinois.

Well Fleck should get his 4 wins and another bowl game. His followers will revel in the bowl success. grin

They will be favored over MS. Spartan program is in shambles right now.

Pass play inside the 10. Galifianakis throws to a covered receiver on the right that is almost picked off while Spann-Ford is twiddling his thumbs against a corner back that is 1/2 a foot shorter. whistling
The Gophers pass offense is terrible.

Read an article where the writer speculates PJ could be headed to Michigan State. Any such rumors flying around the TC?

I’d say that’s someone reaching for clicks, views, and stirring the pot.

It’d be a lateral move. Michigan State Football is nothing special nor is it what it was 10 years ago.

bucky I agree on a lateral move but
sounds like MS could double his salary and he spent a lot of time in Ohio and Michigan.

PJ has a $7 million buyout. Mel Tucker would also then be owed $9.5 million per year through 2032 by Michigan State if they part ways with him. That’s over $85 million he’d be paid to NOT coach by MSU if Mel Tucker chose to not take another coaching job through 2032.

This is Michigan State – Not Michigan. Not South Carolina, Alabama, Georgia, LSU, etc. I just don’t see it happening, but I’ve been wrong before.

Didnt they fire Mel Tucker this week for those allegations?

Ahh yes, I forgot about that. However it still sounds like that will be argued with lawyers involved. Tucker says there are other motives at play (MSU getting out of his contract).

Without going too far into the details, it sounds like whatever took place was remotely over the phone. I’m confused how you can be a victim (dude does sound like a creep if accounts are factual) when you have the option to just hang up the phone?

24-7 at the half at Northwestern in favor of the boat rowers.

Iowa is losing at Penn State 10-0 at the half.

Iowa getting blown out. Hawks have gave PS a short field too many times.

For the first time in recent memory, the Twins have the most buzz of any MN sports team heading into October.

Gophers blew a 21 point 4th quarter lead by abandoning what got them to that point and doing nothing offensively in the last quarter. Tucking their heads in their navels offensively is PJ’s fault.
