Rutgers made a bowl at 5-7? I thought only teams that were .500 or better were bowl eligible.

Texas A&M was scheduled to play Wake Forest but had a covid outbreak. Any team with a decent record was already playing in a bowl game so they went hunting for a team. Rutgers had the highest APR score of the 5-7 teams.

Overall a good plus season for the Gophers. I hope Morgan learns not to stare down his primary receiver the whole play. West Virginia’s QB was getting mauled. The Gophers finished ahead of Wisconsin and Purdue but they got “better” bowl games. Oh well. The game was late for us but can you imagine the West Virginia fans with a 10:15 start time? shock I don’t know how they select teams for bowl games but these 2 teams should have played in an Eastern or a Central time zone bowl.

Morgan’s getting back his offensive coordinator from when he set school records in passing. Should be a sweet reunion.

Not about the gophers but holy crap, Michigan doesn’t look to be in the same time zone as Georgia.

Looks like a rematch of bama and da bulldogs for da title.

No kidding. The SEC is clearly a step above any other conference right now.

The SEC is not… Bama and Georgia are.

I don’t think Michigan could beat even a “lower” ranked SEC team based on what I’m seeing tonight. I’d say pretty much every team in the SEC west is as good as Michigan, who is apparently the top ranked big ten team.

I say The Gophers would beat Auburn, (again) Arkansas, the Mississippi teams and would give Texas A&M a run too, if we played our best.

A&M & Mississippi State would run the Gophers out of the stadium. But thats just my opinion.

Mississippi State got crushed by an average Tx Tech team. Getting beat by Bowling Green who we paid $1.45million to be the sacrificial lamb on homecoming is still a head scratcher. Morgan has been decent when he has good receivers. I would be happy with someone else playing QB. I believe he is returning next year. Pretty good season overall.
