Carp run just getting started.

    I managed to land a couple nice carp today, 6 and 11 lbs. I was fishing for creek chubs and these guys moved in. I landed 2 and lost 6 more in the 10 lb range. Floating crawler harness and a ulra-light.

    Just doesn’t matter what type of fish. It sure looks like fun.

    I also saw another guy catch and release several 3lb silver redhorse and 9-12″ creek chubs. There is a bit of everything in this spot, I even saw 4 26″ pike swim by only 6″ from the bank I was sitting on. Great spot for sight fishing later in spring when the gar, carp and redhorse are stacked up in the pools.
