Any of you guys target fall suckers? They where going pretty good on the croix today. In years past I have had days in the fall where its practically on after another for suckers. A lot of times they are running the same spots as walleyes it just a matter of changing bait.
The girls and I sure had a lot of fun with them today.
The Turkey river down here has them by the thousands and the run in the spring is huge and one after another. Last fall I didn’t make it to cann some, I doubt I will this year eigther, too much to do. The deeper cuts in both the Turkey and the Volga rivers are a good place to fish them around the first frost, after that they go to the deeper holes to winter over.
