    To me it seems that most species of fish from Mille Lacs comes super sized; bullheads, carp, dogfish, pout, rock bass…….

    Except for the walleyes. Talk about ironic. As for that carp… holy smokes what a beast.

    I 2nd that. We were talking about that last saturday. Does anyone know why they dont get huge? We always seem to get nice numbers of mid 20s but my biggest still for millacs is a 28.

    I believe it has to do with the forage base and mostly genetics. Perch are the main base, but are not as high in protien like the shad in P4 or the abundance of emerald shiners in LOW. Although the tulibee(sp?) are making a strong come back and I am curious to see if it will make a difference.
