Hey guys. Going out to Green Lake for Walleye opener this evening and I have heard that the Middle Fork Crow River out there has some good carp/redhorse in it. We are going to take a side trip to fish the river tomorrow during the day.

Anyone have experience over that way?

    Thanks!

If you want rough fish, go here:

    DNR Road

The picture doesn’t show it well but there is a shallow river/ditch along lake Calhoun off of that DNR drive. This is to the East of Green Lake.

This is a great place to bowfish as the water is very clear, but you can catch them on a hook and line as well. My cabin is 2 miles from here and I used to fish it alot as a kid.

Nice, thanks! My buddy’s place is on the South shore of Green, so not too far to get over to that spot.

Yeah there is probably your best bet, that is the boat access and you have probably a quarter mile or more of stream along with two dams that should have plenty of carp, shorthead redhorse and suckers in it. I’ve also caught them a bit down stream where that river crosses under 160th st.
