Grape or Strawberry?

Any of you carp guys use Grape or Strawberry dough baits?

Use Dough Baits at all?

I was looking as some the other day…looks like it would be good on toast.

Hello,
Don’t think you could really call it a dough bait, but my go to carp bait is plain ole oatmeal, the instant quick oats kind. Its simple, cheap and it really works. Just take a little bit get it wet and squeeze it around a #2 eagle claw hook and lob it out there and wait for the tap tap.

Uncle Josh’s Carp bait, or corn.

But between the two you mentioned, I’m thinking Strawberry might have more odor so that’s what I’d go with.

What happened to vanilla?

That stuff was killer when I was a kid!! It would probably taste good in one of those Starbuck’s crapachinos too

That’s the stuff. I sent some Strawberry and Grape with PeteT down to the St Croix last weekend to try out. Strawberry was THE flavor!

Between my results with the Chicken Liver and Rotten Shad flavor along with PeteT’s experience with the Strawberry Carp bait, Dean’s going to be handling it at Everts.

Now if Pete would just send me the photo’s of his family and the carp!

Never heard of Vanilla flavor before Diesel. Worked good though huh?
