suckers???

    are the suckers starting to run up the little creeks yet. might go out and try in a little bit on the lake i live on. just wondering. gunna go get em for cut bait!

    Havent looked yet but would think it is still a little early. We always waited until the ice was off the lakes before looking. Isnt there a Mn spearing season on them that starts in the beginning of May. We used to have a lot of fun as kids spearing suckers in the creeks around Aitkin MN.

    I also think its a little early and too much current flowing through the creeks to allow a good run yet.

    With the warm weather we’ve been having, try finding some shallow back water areas probabally about 3-6 ft deep.

    I was out fishing for Jumbo Perch yesterday and the water temps climbed stedily through out the day until they peaked at 60, and mixed in with the big perch there were also some big redhorse suckers, and I also managed to hook into a big carp, that was able to elude me
