Has anyone got into any carp yet this year? I have been trying a lot of spots, any advice would be helpful.

Before the rivers swelled I could find them but for now I will be on other bodies of water

I caught this Mirror yesterday, along with one other Common. I was fishing the edge of flooded grass on the Cannon River. Fishing was pretty slow in general, but this fish put a smile on my face. First open water fish of 2010!

    Nice mirror!
The big rivers are pretty tough to fish right now. I’d look to try some lakes in your area. If you can find an inlet, aerator, or open water in some channels you should find some carp. We’ve had luck in years past in small open water areas on lakes that are still mostly frozen.

Thanks, gonna try this soon. what about the flooded out areas along the river, is it it too cold to see carp in there?

It will definitely be a good day when I land my first mirror. Nice fish!
