I have been checking up on this very unique fishery in Thailand lately. Today I went there just to order some spicy Thai food to-go at their delicious restaurant. This place really caters to the fisherman who likes competitions. There is money in it so I suppose it is attractive to many. Personally, I am not a fan of competition fishing but I do find the concept interesting.

Just like a locker room for any other sport, they have the same.

Also notice the bike locks on personal equipment kept there for storage.

While I was waiting for our food to get cooked I took my youngest daghter down the public fishing walkway to see how everyone was doing. Claire was enamored with the big fish that probably weigh more than her.

Here are some more pics of the lake itself. You are only seeing one half of the lake here.

For a more private experience, you can rent a bungalow. The bungalows are newly built and range from 800-1500 Baht (approximately $25-$45) per 12 hour period depending on the size of the bungalow. It’s really not a bad price if you can split the cost with a few guys.
