I should probably buy a lottery ticket soon because I have been cleaning house on my Lifelist goals. In the last 9 days I have caught 7 new lifelisters. Today I hit a pond in Thailand and caught a beautiful Featherback. I am still waiting on the ID confirmation from my buddy Francois but it appears to be a Spotted Featherback to me. The Spotted differs from the Clown in its spots. The Clown has iregular spots where the Spotted has perfect round spots.

Looks to be a very powerful fish. What did you estimate it’s weight at?

That one is truly a trophy. It is the biggest one I have caught. I didn’t put a scale to it but I would estimate somewhere around 10 lbs. He took a live 7 inch Tilapia fished on the bottom. After I hooked him, he did this beautiful tail walk and looked like a Tarpon on the water. It was quite memorable. And yes they are good to eat.
