I was not able to get any new Life-Listers today but I got 2 new Personal Bests. The next best thing to a LL is a PB. I call it a Lifelist Upgrade.

    12 lb. Pacu

    Fair sized Asian Redtail Catfish

There I was just scanning today’s topics and I see the topic
“Giant Pacu” and I knew it was you Mike. Dude that pacu is truly a giant, and weighing in at 12 pounds. With a body like that do they fight like a blue gill or a white bass? I can only imagine that the fight was on just as soon as you set the hook.

    Congratulations

Them Pacu cut water just like a big Bluegill. It was like bringing up a giant hubcap from the bottom. This is where my jaw dropped. I hear they have them in 25 lb. class too in this pond.

Did you use a nut floating on the surface to catch the Pacu?

I caught that one on plain bread mushed around a hook, but I have caught them on fruit before.
