This guy ate a crankbait! I mean he SLAMMED it like a Smallie! When he headed up river I thought I had a big Walleye on for sure. Tremendous fight too, great fun. Oh and he wasn’t foul hooked, the front set of trebles was inside it’s mouth. One other interesting thing to note was that I was using a medium light spinning rod, the Limit Creek “Smoothie”. I guess that rod will handle big Walleyes if it can handle a big Carp. 28 inches long, I didn’t get a girth so I don’t have any idea what it weighed.
Today also ressulted in a bunch of nice Sheephead as well as a few Smallies.
