Some of the nicer fish we got while we were down in texas for the Austin Team Championship. We ended up wining the ATC with a total weight for our 19 fish at 380lbs for two days. Most of the fish pictured were over 30lb with the bigest common at 37lb and the biggest buff at 36lb.

Wow, well done! What kinds of bait were you using if you don’t mind me asking?

Using European style setups too? Pretty cool. My favorite is the 1st pict 3rd row Buffalo. That think looks like it couldn’t even swim, more like hover in the water.

We fish euro style, so hair riged boiled maiz was the bait of choice. we were also using a bread crumb based pack bait to go along with the maiz. If anyone needs specific information about euro carping or baits in general, shoot me a PM and I would be more than glad to help out.

Jealous! I’ve been meaning to get down there for that contest for the last couple years but work always interferes. Congrats on the win! Those are some very, very respectable fish.

One of my favorite streams just opened up where I’ve caught carp in early season. I’ve never fished carp euro style, but think I might give it a try this year. I have some corn soaking and did a bit of studying on the hair rig technique. As soon as my truck gets out of the shop I might give it a try.
