Anyone out there still fishing roughies? Any ideas on patterns for river carp in cold, fall weather?

Jig and a crawler. Used to catch a ton of suckers late in the season like this. Mouths of feed creeks. Outside bends in smaller rivers. They seemed to school pretty good to. Once you found them it was game on.

If you can find a warm water outlet, you are good to go. Carp will stack up in them like crazy and will eat just about anything.

Just like in summer, use just enough weight to keep your bait on the bottom and a bit of crawler.

Looking at the Saturday forecast, I do believe I will be out chasing some roughies as well!

Not sure where you usually fish. The Croix up around Osceola used to have a good fall bite. They seemed to hang in pretty close with the fall walleyes we would chase up there.
