Redhorse ID?

    I had a redhorse on at that same spot. I don’t know how he got off. Unfortunately I was using my cat pole, so I had no idea the guy was hooked (or not) in the first place. I started reeling and there he was, and then I dragged him while I walked the wall and he got off.

    I might have to head up to the CR Dam (area) this weekend and fish for red horse. They should be there now.

    After this in depth discussion I hit that spot again and caught 8 or 10 more and noticed all the carp were sporting unusually bright red fins, thus my confusion. they must be getting all spruced up for the spawn. Now if the Minnesota would come down a bit so I could get out chasin’ cats. Although I’ll take carp in swift current for my early season fishing fix any day.
