Roger Rucci’s last day working at Joe’s Sporting Goods is this weekend. A fixture in the fishing dept for over 30 years. Seminar speaker. Successful bass tourney angler. And most of all just a genuine all around nice guy. Roger is retiring. Sure will miss seeing Roger at the store. So stop in this weekend if you want to say good by and good luck!

So helpful and enthusiastic made you psyched to get out and fish. Lets face it Joes is not the cheapest place to buy anything(great sales though) but the service is outstanding and a lot of that has been Roger. He will be missed.

It was always nice to go into the fishing department at Joes and see someone like Roger with such enthusiasm and passion for the sport. He was one of a kind.

Thanks for posting. I’ll be up there for sure this week. I can’t say enough about the many lunch breaks I have spent there.

Roger even talked with catfish guys with enthusiasm!
I’ll be out of town, but sure wish I could get over to shake his hand!

Sad but I know my bank statement will look better with Roger out of Joes!

I live as far away as you could get in the metro from Joe’s but would make the drive a couple times each year just to talk fishing with him. One of the really great guys out there in the local fishing industry!

Loved going into Joe’s to talk fishing with Roger. Not many left in retail like him. For a while before I actually knew who he was or his name I referred to him as “the guru”.

Heck of a great guy. Had the pleasure of fishing with him a few times and was a ton of fun. Lots of laughs and knowledge learned from Roger. Enjoy retirement bud!
