Been having issues with my line getting scuffed up after my rod loading up with big fish. Was actually suspect of the roller on my reel but looking at the rod first has a slight nick on the top insert.

This something I can just sand down smooth? It’s only a small side section of the tip. Thanks for any info wave

If it was me, I’d just replace it.

The glue is heat activated, use a lighted and heat it up a little….a little….and pull it off. Clean off the old glue, and then glue a replacement tip on.
