Have a 90 prov with a rod storage issue. the one compartment is meh so i have one of these just below it http://www.boatersplus.com/images/detailed/45/5503577.jpg

on our annual trip, one of my buddies stepped on a tip and broke a rod, and the latest trip, one of my children did the same. So what i was thinking was moving them up closer to the boat and getting as much of the rod tip into the bow of the boat right next to the livewell as possible. I’m just having the darndest time finding these things on the internet. any help would be appreciated. (yes i’ve toyed with going down to menards and staring at the pvc connectors and pipes until somthing DIY came together in my mind)

Then he may want to do this search on Ebay

    lund rod holder

It returns the tubes which will be lighter than ABS at Menards.

The tubes were too short on my Alumacraft so I cut them out. If you’ve got room to use these, I was going to put them up for sale at $5 per tube. I’ve got 10 of them.

I know others have used Golf bag tubes in their rod storage to keep them separated and somewhat protect them. Light weight and cheap. Not sure how solid they are as far as protection if stepped on. Google golf bag tubes. You can tape 2 together to make them longer if needed

I made my own out of black pvc pipe. I heated the ends and flared them out to have a smooth entry and also a mounting flange.I can now put 8ft rods out of the way.
