Anyone have good luck with a certain line of rod sleeves over another? Looking to put some on rods that I store in my boat.

I use the Liv fishing ones and have no complaints. I bought 24 of them, seems like they’ve had the buy 6 get 2 free deal going all year long. I bought different colored ones to help with who’s rod is who’s in the locker.

Made most of my own ( wife’s help ) nylon from Walmart about $1.50 each with elastic. Some I wanted the reels covered baitcasters easier then having separate reel covers.

Get the non woven ones if you do it / the woven nylon plastic ones are great at finding treble hooks .

Use lure covers and that problem is solved.

I started a small business selling neoprene rod sleeves (and working on some new stuff now). It’s called North Shore Fishing Co. I use some better components and different stitching, but pretty similar to all the brands mentioned above. 10% of proceeds are donated to Folds of Honor Foundation. My 4yo and 7yo ship all the orders. I am out of stock on most styles and colors but I will have more to sell in a couple of weeks. Including ice rod sleeves!

Does anybody make their own from the wire looms? Should I get 1 1/2″ for spinning rods or 2″. I don’t store my rods in a boat so the wire loom covers seem to do a better job of protecting the rods in the truck.

Yes, ever spinning rod is a different but, 1 1/2 will expand so it should be fine.

I have ton of 3/4 wire loom that i use for casting rods that work great. I just tape the ends and fold the ends in.

Nice thanks. That gives me a lot more options.
