Rod holder setup

Me and my dad just picked up a 1675 Lund Explorer and are looking to add some rod holders to it. We were thinking about adding a rail on the gunnel so we can reposition our rod holders easily. Does anyone have any suggestions of what setup has worked for them in the past and what rod holders you’ve found to be the best? Ideally we would like to have 2 or 3 holders on each side of the boat.

I use the ram rail mount rod holders and they work well on my boat. Super easy to move around work well for what I use them which is mainly pulling cranks.

I prefer tracks for a very versatile setup. I just set up my new boat with Traxstech tracks mounted directly to the extruded gunnels via 1/4 inch aluminum rivets. I used to have a 1675 Explorer like yours and did that boat the same way. Photo’s below for reference. Once you have the tracks on, you can mount about any rod holder or accessory you want and move them to suit your needs. It makes for a super solid and super versatile setup.
