Been looking around for a rod holder to hold my set line in my clam Yukon thermal x. Clam sells a rod holder but looks like it only mounts to a bucket. I also looked at the catch cover rod holder but looks like it only fits poles up to 1”. The poles in my flip over are 1 1/4”. I want the rod holder to mount to the side poles and be out of the way. Anyone have any solutions?
You can actually take the bucket attachment off and mount it to your sled, I have a couple of these on my Thermal X Voyager Stealth (Which is brand new and for sale) that I mounted to the sled.
Yep, they mount to the sled great. Couldn’t imagine my flip-over without it.
One problem I have with mounting to the sled is that I usually fish my set line in the front corner of the house- that is why I wanted to mount to the pole system.
The Large Cold Snap Rod Clamp is suitable for the upper larger poles in your larger Frabill, Otter, and X series Clam portables. (Fits 1.25″ diameter poles.)
Easy solution for the catch cover rod holder. Don’t buy the clamp model. Get the model with the quick change plate and zip tie the receiving plate to the hub junction.
