I hate landscaping rocks. I think I have used my snowblower three times this winter, and I snapped my second shear bolt this morning. I’m glad that the shear bolts do their job, but what a PITA.

Oh man. A hockey puck took one of mine out once.

Just replaced a shear bolt in blower this AM.
    Went out yesterday.
Old one was rusted in pretty bad.
Needed to turn the auger, so I pulled the spark plug.
Then had to get a bigger hammer.

My blower ate the Sunday paper one morning. What a mess! It chewed up half and shot it all over the driveway and then choked on the rest and sheared the pin.

I hit a frozen towel once. That sucked.

My neighbor used an extension cord for something and left it in his driveway in front of his garage door. Plugged in yet. I asked if he wanted me to buzz his drive and he said no he just got a new Toro 2 stage and wanted to try it. He was looking for his cord since this critter machine had electric start. The cord that came with the machine was in his van at the grocery store…..with his wife. Well, he just went ahead and hand started the thing and his first cut located the extension cord. I didn’t know he could move like he did.

So far my best snow blower incident is the dog’s lead when she ran in front of me to try to catch the snow I was throwing. shock

Ralph is right, rocks suck big time. Bigger ones shear my pin and bend blades, the smaller ones just become tiny little supersonic unguided missiles.

The father-in-law put an electric blanket into his once. What a mess, hundreds of wires it took over an hour to get it out. Near thirty years later and when I want to get his goat all I have to do is say, Remember when………..

I ate the ash catcher from a Webber grill. Tin snips 2+ hours. Ate a extension cord also. Saw something moving 25 feet away under the snow. Then saw it coming out top. Fun

I did the dog chain once (no dog attached). Pulled the shaft right out of the side of the blower. PITA

Done the extension cord and that sucked. I think the worst for me was a rubber matt in front of the porch. It took hours to get it out, all wedged in to nooks and places it wasn’t meant to fit.

Ate a half a ball of mason’s twine once. It was left out after adding some brick to the front of the house by a contractor. Wrapped around auger and shaft hundreds of times. Considered trading it in in that condition hoping nobody would notice.
