well we spent most of the day out there yesterday. it started out not so good with that wind howling straight up the river. so we made a little move to get out of the wind and it was game on for the rest of the day. i poped a 17 incher on the first drift. next drift i got a short sauger and another 16 inch sauger. next drift i poped a 18 inch eye then a 19 inch eye which we through back. next drift my buddy got a 16 inch sauger then i got another 17 inch eye. next drift i got a 18 inch plump sauger that was also released and another 18 inch eye. we ended with a couple more walleyes but through em back. then we went up river and found some crappies and ended with 2 12 inchers and 9 to keep and a bunch of 4-7 inchers too. we ended with 7 kept walleye/saugers and through 3 more bigger fish back and 3 crappies. our totals were 12 walleyes/saugers and a bunch of crappies to end the day. it was an incredible day to say the least. will post some pics later

I had a good Sunday too, The wife and I hit Ripley at 7:00AM could not find the gills but we did catch a few Large mouth bass of course she caught the bigges one. Then after dropping the wife off at home. I then went and launched at K-Mart motored down to the mouth from 1:00PM till 4:00PM and popped 1 17″ walleye, 2 16″ saugers and 1 16 1/2″ sauger. Saw a few nice eyes caught on the wall motoring up and down the river also.

i forgot to add we were fishing 8-10 ft of water and using jig/minnows vertically jigged very subtly. we looked in the stomachs of the walleyes/saugers and found whitebass and sheepshead all about 4-5 inches in length so the fish are defiantely feeding well now and all the fish we caught were fat.
