February Fishing Reports

yeahp thats what they are. i think we’ll be able to make some of the april and may ones. just have to hurry home from school. it was a pretty good time last year although we didnt catch any legals. but should be an even better time this year.

Looking forward to Thursdays as well Open water all through Janesville, and far as I can see from hy14 bridge. Could probably motor all the way to Indianford am guessing.

you kv i was thinking the same thing. although the boat isnt quite ready yet. but i might have to check out monterey or centerway to see if i can snag a fish or 2. hopefully make it out the first weekend in march at least to indianford if not the dells.

Yep, trusting Databoy’s weather forcast to at least get me shore fishing by early March.

I see there is a nice open spot on the river in downtown fort and you could wet a line from the new fishing barge they put in last yr (the floating dining area).im tempted to try vertical jigging from that thing,and drag a twister under the bridge from there. its gotta be legal

Thanks,ill report on how it went Im planning on going to the fishing expo sat.my boy says wea are going all day,has it marked on calender already hes got the open water fishing bug worse than i do,and hes 7 . when are the rest of you guys going to the expo?

Team, I’ll be there all three days when I’m not at the state wrestling match (Friday and the finals on Saturday) with Mike Huppert from fin-tech, his son Sam made it to state again plus 9 other from Ellsworth, congratulation Ellsworth wrestling team there also going to team state. I’ll be by the fin-tech booth or Dick Smiths bait and tackle helping and stocking jigs, also plan on walking around allot advertising for fin-tech, also can find me around the Lake-link booth talking with Steve and Darin and other lake-linkers.

Well,made it down to racine today,you guys didnt miss much,as it was the first time ive been skunked down there,only saw one small brown caught,threw sacs,skein,jigging raps and spoons at em,nadda.Hope to make another trip down there yet before ice out.

Went to the dam today. No hits, no runs, no snags. Felt good to pitch it in the river. Sorry to hear Sam got bumped in the semi’s was a good year though.
