Been wondering the same thing myself, Denny. Haven’t decided if I’m gonna hit the Rock tomorrow, or McKinley and South shore harbors pitching for browns and try to find the smallies I’ve heard about. Maybe see ya out there.

Not much going on at Blackhawk since the rising water which should hopefully crest this weekend. Chocolate water, lots of debris again. You might want to let it rest for a week and give it a chance to clear up again. But if you do go please let us know if you find anything. I’ll likely be on a nearby lake chasing bass, pike and panfish.

Thanks for the update, Greg. Me and high, fast, chocolate water don’t get along. Looks like the Big Pond tomorrow.

Hi, Well I did try Blackhawk Island this morning. Water was high , swift, and muddy. The wind was blowing pretty good too. Had a couple of hits, otherwise no fish. I think I’ll let it settle down for a week. Good fishing to all…. Denny

Thanks for the effort & report Denny. That definitely helps me make up my mind on what to do. West wind wouldn’t be great for Newville Saturday either so I too am going to give it a rest – at least for tomorrow.
