With temps at 14 in the morning then 40 in the afternoon could make someone think ice fishing. The 40’s scare me off.

Jeff do you or anbody know what ice depths are on kosh. and is it safe to fish.thought about fishing it this weekend with netmann.thanks any for reports.

After all the snow I heard it was unsafe. Give this Lake some more time to thicken up.

I heard the same thing in the bays, but after the snow I wouldn’t take a chance unless you follow someone else out. Stay to the bay if you guys decide to go. Myself will wait until after this last cold front.

Been waiting for safe ice did alot of checking last Sunday Ripley right at the launch was not safe another 15 yards or so looked like it just froze over the bay looked good though will be giving it a try Sat am. Rock and Mud I’ll wait awhile.I ordered 1000 spikes and they just came in the mail I am all set to go. I also heard kosh has been producing some nice eyes with some taking their limits.WeFish

January 4, 2009 at 5:27 pm #733852sounds good jeff,i was`at monona bay yesterday,my 10 yr old daughter is a fishaholic,must have caught over 100 fish in 6 hrs,tho only 15 where keepers,if you get away from crowds,use larger baits,and sight fish,there are nice gills there.btw,i have a flip-over shack,and cam,if your kids would want to go,they can join my daughter in there
