Hey netman, let me know what you find for ice up there. I usually like to make a trip north as soon as there’s a few inches to stand on. I’m over 20 pounds lighter than last year so hopefully I won’t be the first one to break through. I like to send the bigger guys out first. 
My storage spot was ready so I had to put the boat away too. I’ll be out looking for WeFish’s secret shore spot if mine doesn’t produce. The best bite lately seems to be the crappies along the shores in a few feet of water twitching a small jig and minnow under a slip bobber.
