It time once again for awesome April. Remember April shower bring May walleyes.
Please post all Rock River April Walleye Reports here. Thanks for stopping by.
Spring fishing has been a tough bite just like always. But if you put in your time you can catch nice fish like in this picture. The last couple weeks all I have been catching are big male walleyes which there’s nothing wrong with that. Males are ranging from 16 to 20 inches and milking heavy. Water temps are at 44 to 46 and you know what that means. Current is strong and water levels are at flood stage with NO WAKE on the whole river system. Only two launch up and ready to go in the Fort area and there are downtown Fort and under the by-pass. All launch are full after 10:00 am . It’s been a zoo around here lately. I hope there CPR those females, please do so, THANKS. I’ve been targeting current breaks in 10 to 12 fow using 3/8oz glow color Zone-R’s jigs from Fin-tech Tackle company. Live bait or gulp alive have been working well. Also caught a few on blade baits. Good luck out there and please think safety.
