I wait ever year just to say March Madness Walleye Report and usally have awesome reports by now. But with the long winter the boat still in storage the reports will have to wait for at least one more week. Good new is downtown Fort Atkinson area is fishable from shore in lots of areas. Water is high and current is fast, ice bergs coming down river is off and on. Downtown boat launch is open but the dock didn’t look in very good shape. Looks unsafe. Saw a familiar local angler chipping ice at the By-pass launch to get his boat in but I’m sure that didn’t happen. I would say at least two more weeks with some more warm weather for a safe fishing outing in a boat. To the angler chipping ice at the By-pass launch Thank you for getting ice chipping started.
